At Brett Paving, Marshalls and Interlay, who are all leading governing bodies within the industry have the same concerns, which is; shoddy workmanship and customers being ripped-off by rogue tradesmen. Bretts, Marshalls and Interlay continue to develop the Approved Installer Scheme, which is a network of installers, whose workmanship is assessed by them, to eliminate the risk of choosing a poor contractor. A firms technical competence, trading record and financial position is checked by an approved scheme operator.
